SOUZA RESIGNS (A MESSAGE FROM THE HUGGIE UNION)

BIG NEWS: Hello. This is some of the biggest news I will ever be reporting, but President Liam Souza will be stepping down from his current executive role. This begs some important questions that will be answered below. 

Q: Does this mean that Liam Souza will be stepping down from his role as head of Huggiepedia and head of the Huggie Game?

 A: No. Not at all. This means that Liam Souza will not be in his current presidential role in the Huggie Game in the Huggie Union.

 Q: Does this mean that Liam Souza is, like, dead? 

A: No. Liam Souza exists in the Huggie Game and will be answered further below. 

Q: What is Liam doing now?

 A: Liam Souza will become the new Head of the Union, sort of acting as the supreme authority over the union, while a new president, Gene Grieves, will take his place. Here is the Huggie Union's statement:

As of this declaration, the Union of Huggie Communist Republics announces that with full agreement of the Department of Justice, Offices of the Communist Party, House of Representatives of the Union, Senate Council of the Union, and every branch, it creates the new head body council and leadership. The declaration creates the new Head of the Union; whoever is appointed to this position will have complete authority over the union, as a supreme leader for life. The Head of the Union instates a Body of the Union which will work closely with the Offices of the Communist Party. The Body of the Union chooses the Head of Union to be the current and beloved presidential figure, Liam Souza. In place of the president, Gene Grieves will be chosen as the President of the Huggie Union.

XENTUS AND TALUS PREPARE TO AID CORRIDORIAN REBELS

Both Xentus and Talus have agreed to send more aid to Corridorian partisans as well as blockading Huggeo military convoys from supplying the Core Party's new Paramilitary Force, the "Partisanenmorder corps", Satilite footage shows a Talisian Aircraft carrier just 2 miles offshore of the Corridor Islands. Officials in the Huggie Union say that "This could cause disaster in the Corridor Islands" as Willian "Joe" Billie put the somewhat Imperialistic goals of Talus and Xentus.

PARTS OF CORRIDORIA BURN DURING PROTEST

BREAKING NEWS: Large parts of Corridoria were burned to the ground by over 200K protesters, displacing over 500K people, hospitalizing multiple people, and wounding many more. As the Core Party is on the verge of collapse, with its president captured and half of his cabinet in exile. Talus and Xentus are trying to negotiate for the president's release on behalf of the IPKO. Talus is also sending aid to civilians displaced during the storming of the capital. "The police never saw them coming, I was minding my own business drinking coffee and reading the newspaper when I heard hundreds of footsteps coming my way, I closed the paper and leaned over my balcony; I saw people flooding the streets holding banners that said 'DOWN WITH PARTY CORRIDORIA' and 'KILL THE CORES', I could hardly believe my eyes as they marched to the Capital Building and set it on fire. I was scared that they would come and terrorize me and the rest of the people in my apartment and the nearby apartments. Well—I was correct, I was running out of the building the next minute, just before the partisans stormed my apartment with torches and guns. I could barely wrap my head around why they were doing this," a local citizen reported to Talisian Reporters while on his way to live in Talus.

ACULON GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL MISTAKENLY INVITES JOURNALIST TO BIRTHDAY PARTY

Due to a technical error, Aculon Department of Public Relations Head Adrian Monroe's 47th birthday party invitations (sent through email) went not only to his intended guests, but also to anti-government journalist Clara Hayes. This was likely caused by recent correspondence between Monroe and Hayes, which would not be surprising. As Monroe leads public relations, part of his job is to give the public the best opinion possible

TALUS AND TITAN REPUBLIC IN PROCESS OF EXCHANGING TITANAZON AS PART OF "BUILDING DEAL"

As a part of a deal to rebuild the Titan Republic with Eco-Friendly Architecture and more modern nuclear and water treatment Plants, Talus and Xentus have begun payments on over 780 billion Shadistikan Hex on construction and funds gathered to buy Titanazon, the large corporate multinational technology and shopping company, from the Titan Republic. "What this means for the Titanic economy is known, but I sure don't care." This is what William Joe Souza, a cousin of Liam Souza, commented during a press interview on his life at the (Huggyo) Red House.

CORRIDORIAN VETERANS TEACH PROTESTERS HOW TO USE WEAPONRY SENT BY TALUS AND XENTUS

To help protesters defeat the Core Party and its use of the national guard, the Talisian and Xentian governments have sent Assault Rifles and high-rated body armor, as well as some Anti-Tank Rockets, in case the Corridorian National Guard deploys infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs). There is one slight issue with this: most students didn't know how to use the guns effectively. However, 23,582 veterans of the Corridorian Große Armee or Grand Army have agreed to go to campuses and teach the protesters how to aim and shoot the weapons sent by Talus and Xentus as an act of protest. Many IPKO diplomats and officials have called out Talus and Xentus as promoting violence and attempting to win over the side of the young generation. President Souza declared he would be cutting off weapons supplies to the Communist Party of the Corridor Islands (CPCI) as his final part of the 2023 Corridorian-Huggie War Peace Treaty is going into effect.

OVER 1 TRILLION STOLEN IN XENTUS 'ICBM SCANDAL'

As of now, during a health inspection at a defense official's estate, 0.5 tons of '1000 Rial' Notes were found in a hidden compartment. The Xentian Investigation Department has found 6 people guilty of theft after stealing money that Muntasir Mahmood had ordered spent on ICBMs as a part of a defense plan to modernize their defense plan against enemy missiles that the country 'desperately needed', a statement made by Muntasir Mahmood at a public speech. As of now, 6 of them have been found guilty, with their verdicts all being corporal punishment, with a 7th person awaiting trial.

EX-MILITARY CORRIDORIAN VETERANS AND GRANDPARENTS FROM PROTESTER FAMILIES LOSE SOCIAL SECURITY FUNDING

Today, thousands of people have been denied their retirement funds by "being traitors to the government," said Corridorian Economic Minister Howard Paul. This has caused thousands more people to struggle for food and medical care in the Huggie World as the Core Party continues its goal of stopping demonstrations all over the islands. However, the IPKO has started to send MREs to Corridorian civilians and will later send medicine and drinking water as well. The reason for these denials is likely linked to the past crimes committed by any of these elders. This is somewhat corrupt to deny based on past criminal history, but the Corridorian Government is working hard to ensure that these people can live a continuous, thriving life.

TEXTBOOKS TO TACTICAL: XENTUS AND TALUS FUND CORRIDORIAN COLLEGE STUDENTS IN PROTEST

In Response to "The Carris Street Massacre," a march turned to hell after the Corridorian National Guard opened fire on a march near a private school campus, killing 127 and wounding 53, Talus has sent riot gear and machine guns to students in their struggle against the Corridorian government. "We are not funding death and Imperialism; we are funding a new government that does not kill its own civilians and doesn't use military force to enforce unfair laws," stated Nahamed Akvul, a Xentian government official and Civil Reformer. Many countries on the Huggyo Continent are anxious about a civil war erupting in the Corridor Islands, only waiting to see what will happen and to think about which side they will choose.

TALUS AND XENTUS QUESTION TREATMENT OF CORRIDORIAN CIVILIANS

Talus is considered a "Civil Reformer" by Xentus and itself, as such, due to recent protests against new education policies that make tuition in the Corridor Islands more expensive. These riots are getting out of control enough that other governments in the Bistol-Seam are starting to intervene. Thus, Talus and Xentus are considering sending aid to the protesters so that they can overthrow the Corridorian Government. The Huggie Union has responded to these potential threats, stating that the Corridorian government had "changed" and "should not be judged by Huggyo decisions in 2023." President Souza claimed, "The new tuition is necessary for economic strength within collegiate communities and by helping out their national economy, however. These new threats posed by Xentus and Talus are a classic textbook example of imperialism by spinning a small story and tiny protests into national unrest, evidencing an invasion."

IPKO REACHES FINAL VERDICT ON JAMES-TALISIAN MERGER

Today, the IPKO, the almighty force of the Huggie World, has reached a final decision on the James City, Talus, and Xentus merger: ABSOLUTELY NO! I mean it's not like the entire populations of all three countries voted 'Yes' on 'Should we merge?' right? Well...that's exactly what they did. To justify the IPKO, we understand. It's a big country that could be the new almighty force in the Huggie World, and they do come up with some good points. For those of you reading on an electronic device, the verdict document was converted into a Google Doc. Here's the link.

XENTIAN POLITICS RESUMING TO NORMAL

We have an inside scoop in Xentus following the bloody civil war, and we have found that Muntasir Mahmood's policies in Xentus are working to better the population through reform programs and to kickstart reconstruction throughout the country. With small forces of Huggie troops still present in Xentus, they are working with Deputy Secretary of Defense, Esme Watson, who was put in charge of the Xentian Task Force, which is a Huggie-recruited division, tirelessly to reconstruct the island of Xentus. There is a new political structure being formed within Xentus as well.
