The Corridor Islands, officially the United Islands of Corridoria, are a country in the Bistol-Seam Ocean. The country's border is formed by its land in the Bistol-Seam Ocean. It has a population of around 8 million, of which half live in the Corridoria Capital Area.
The Corridor Islands were discovered by Shadistikan settlers in 1212, and the Shadow Empire refused to colonize the islands, citing catastrophic storms. The Corridor Islands subtly grew in population, mostly made up of natives, and in 1810, they were invaded by the Huggie Empire.
The War of 1810 was a war fought between the Huggie Empire and the Corridor Islands. At the time, the Corridor Islands did not have much of a recognized government, so the Huggie Empire stated they were going to take the islands into "colonial possession." The war was rather secretive and ended within hours. Huggyo settlers quickly occupied the islands, and many intermingled with Corridorian natives, leading to the widespread adoption of the native dialect Korridorianicopis.
Throughout the latter half of the nineteenth century, the Corridor Islands were widely considered an impoverished, undeveloped, and rather agrarian nation, consistently ranking at the bottom of economic rankings throughout the Huggie World.
The Huggie Empire was widely blamed for the suffering of the island due to its controlling the island's trade, funding public infrastructure, and the Huggie Empire itself was struggling internally and was having problems with its economy as well.
In 1892, the Corridorian Nationalist Party took up arms and burnt down the Parliament building in Corridoria. Huggie troops took months to arrive, and the CNP quickly garnered resources, munitions, and global support. 393 Huggie Troops arrived in the Corridor Islands in late 1892 and were defeated easily by the overwhelming CNP troops. On April 15th, 1893, the Huggie Empire officially signed a treaty giving independence to the United Islands of Corridoria.
Almost instantaneously, the economy of the Corridor Islands grew, and Corridorian farmers began farming exotica fruits, which had an overabundance on the outer islands.
The Corridorian Population Boom was a widespread, significant, and persistent increase in fertility rates throughout the Corridor Islands during the early 1900s. The population significantly grew from a rather modest 700k to around 2 million.
Modern Corridorian history has been plagued by conflicts and has also experienced a steep population increase.
In 2022, the Huggie Union invaded the Corridor Islands, and the invasion lasted until May 25th, 2023. There was astonishingly no reported deaths, but damages of upwards of $1.5 million were inflicted upon the islands. The invasion was part of multiple Huggyo expansionist policies and anti-democratic policies pushed by Liam Souza. The war was a catastrophic failure by the Huggie Union, even though they outnumbered Corridorian troops by millions; the Corridorian strength was underestimated. Liam Souza stated that, "the war was not an occupational attempt, rather, it was a temporary installation of our troops to keep the Corridorian Communist Party from being safe." The statement was made by Souza even after the Corridorian Communist Party was called out for multiple domestic incidents.
In 2025, Talus and Xentus sent troops to crack down on the rising authoritarian principles of the Corridorian government. The Corridor Islands are still under complete occupation mainly by Talus as of February, 2026. like the 2022 Huggyo invasion, the war was condemned, though critics argued it was not up to Talus and Xentus to instate a leader change, as it may create a new precedent for future warring nations.
