The Huggie Game is a government simulator game where a player chooses a nation (sometimes added to the map or, more often, joining a nation) on the fictional Huggie World and simulates modern-day governance in-world. The Huggie Game's simulation only goes back to roughly 3 years ago; however, the in-game lore (which all intertwines and is consistent) goes back billions of years in-game, and human development is rather linear to Earth's development. Contributors on the website Huggiepedia provide the world's lore and its nations' lore. The game's official book, The Huggie World: Vol 1, says
"However, the scientific explanation can be attributed to an everlasting universe that has never begun and will never end, or the Big Bounce Theory. Around 13 billion years ago was the start of the next expansion of the universe. The Huggie World revolves around a similar time to Earth in the real world. Say it is 2004 in the real world; it is also that same day, second, time, and year in the Huggie World. Though timelines, of course, shift. Most of the time, major events that may have happened on Earth may have never even happened on a small scale, or may not have anything similar happen in the Huggie World, and of course, vice versa.
The Huggie World was formed around 4 billion years ago when a combination of space matter, gas, and dust from the recently formed Huggie Sun, which we will call the Sun for simplification, formed the Huggie World. It was originally an extremely hot place. No life could survive on it, and temperatures were well above 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. Eventually, two massive meteorites known as Delsa and Dorma smashed together in front of the Huggie World, resulting in their combination called Delsorma. It slowed the two meteorites' advancement toward the Sun, and it resulted in a massive shadow over the Huggie World for a few hundred years, before dragging along toward the Sun and incinerating. The shadow plummeted the Huggie World into subzero temperatures for at least 100 million years, which was definitely worsened by the Huggie World’s orbit having already shifted back, putting it into a rather cool position. After this, a rapid warming took over the Huggie World, and temperatures became around what they are today."
