James City

James City, or the Republic of James City, is a country located in the Bistol Seam Ocean that is said to look like the shape of a 'J'. It is the largest island in the Bistol Seam by land area and the seventh-most populous country in the world, as well as the most populous country in the Bistol Seam. It is a highly urbanized nation, with many urban centers housing over 2 million inhabitants. James City's capital and largest city is James City, which also serves as its cultural capital. The Republic of James City emerged as an independent country following the collapse of the Jamesland regime, which had governed for several decades.

Etymology

The name James City comes from the Alatin word for Iacobus, which means James. Iacobus also derives from an Ancient Shadistikan word meaning "the prosperous peoples' land." The nation was known as Jamesland until the 90s, when James City came to refer to the entire country of the same name. 

History

James City civilizations began back in 1307 A.D. when humans swam from the coast of Shadistika. Back then it was known as Iacobus. They had a 46-letter alphabet using Huyjewich characters. They wanted to have a different lifestyle apart from the Shadistikan lifestyle. Their first-ever war was “The Mighty Surge of Novae Insulae.” This war was lost by Shadistika, and the point of the war was to conquer all of Novae Insulae. Iacobus was the weakest of all. The Shadistikans conquered a third of Iacobus, but the rest of Novae Insulae helped liberate it. Famous battles from the Iacobus side would be The Battle of Noewareville (52-53 AD), Summer Siege (58-58 AD), Blacknight Battle (58-59 AD), and the Last Liberation of Our Iacobus (61-63 AD). The Uprising and First Fall of Blacknight, Iacobus Warrior, or The First Fall of Blacknight was an uprising that took place from 123 AD to 124 AD. The Blacknight tribe was tired of being under the iron fist of the medieval Iacobus, so they successfully won because James the Fifth abdicated power. Blacknight is named Iacobus, Blacknight-Iacobus (or Blacknight for short). Blacknight believed in the union of Novae Insulae, which is the reason why Blacknight was a short-lived republic. They attacked Korridorianicopis, but their reason for war was for “reunion,” even though they were never unified. The Korridors and Shadistikans too plummeted through the Blacknight offensive lines right into Blacknight’s defensive lines in their country. James the Fifth returned to power for five days right before he abdicated again due to another uprising known as The Uprising and Second Fall of Blacknight, Iacobus Warrior, or The Second Fall of Blacknight. The New Iacobus took over and became New Iacobus. New Iacobus lasted from 150 AD to 1762. In 1762, Martin James Corridor replaced King Xavier of  New Iacobus as the new king. He changed his title to leader and renamed New Iacobus to Jamesland. Jamesland was modernizing fast. In 1829, the Steaming ‘29 began. The Steaming ‘29 was a major global economic boost.
